Jesus used the phrases “kingdom of God” and “kingdom of Heaven” interchangeably (Matthew 19:23-24).
In Revelation 3:12, Jesus makes a great promise to those who obey him: “I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from My God and I will also write on him my new name.” Jesus says He will put on us the name of the person and the name of the place (Heaven) for which we were made. Revelation 13:6 tells us the satanic beast “opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in Heaven.” Our enemy slanders three things: God’s person, God’s people, and God’s place-Heaven. Some of Satan’s favorite lies are about Heaven. Jesus said of the devil, “When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44). I think there’s only one explanation for how these appalling viewpoints have gripped so many of God’s people: Satan.
